The Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival may be sold out already this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go exploring and experience nature’s show for yourself. Throughout the Sunshine Coast region, walkers and nature lovers will discover gorgeously coloured floral displays.

What is better than a day on the beach? Driving on the beach to get there! Grab some mates (ideally one of them with a 4WD) and spend the day at Double Island Point – arguably one of the most picturesque spots in the country.

Spend the day soaking up the pristine turquoise waters, endless stretches of white sugary sands, wildlife in abundance, multicolored sand dunes, world-class surf breaks, and mesmerizing views of the ocean.
Nothing says spring like a relaxing session where someone else pours the beers and brings you food. Enjoy the sunshine and find a beer garden that is just right for you. There are plenty scattered around the Sunshine Coast, but we can recommend the next-level garden at Rick’s Garage in Palmwoods and their burgers make it well worth a stop!
Summer days start early here in Queensland so make the most of spring mornings and get up and watch the sun come up before it starts to rise waaay too early. We have some of the best spots to see day become night right here.

There’s no doubt that it’s a beach paradise from top to bottom but there are also many less discovered attractions and the Maroochy Botanic Gardens with their bushland setting is one of them. Spring is the perfect time to visit while all the native plants found here are in full bloom.
Maleny Botanic Gardens
Vibrant and stunning are words often used to describe Maleny Botanic Gardens and spring is the perfect time to find out why. Not only do they have 14-acres of lush gardens complete with meandering paths, lakes, and waterfalls as well as killer views overlooking the Glass House Mountains, they also have a massive bird aviary with a bazillion species of cheeky cockatoos, exotic parrots, macaws, and more.

Spring is a time of re-birth so why not visit Wildlife HQ or Australia Zoo to see if you can spot any brand new baby animals! At Wildlife HQ, you can even cuddle baby dingo pups – it doesn’t get more Australian than that.

Finally, one our favourite things to do in Spring is simply head out for a picnic. From the calming coastline to the lush hinterland, we really do have the best of everything on the Sunshine Coast. Why not pack your hamper full of fresh local produce (like some amazing Maleny Cheese), load up the car and explore somewhere new.
